This project required me to design a template that could work seamlessly with various content inputted from faculty members. The design needed to flexible to remain intentional no matter how much or how many types of content were involved.

Based on my research, my priority in the design stage was to spotlight important contact and role information for our faculty. This content was most common across all faculty members, and was highly relevant for prospective students, current faculty & students, and industry partners. I also created a tag visible at the top of the profiles to display when faculty members were accepting new graduate students. This benefits prospective and current grad students and makes their time finding a faculty advisor easier.

The goal with the remainder of the content was to tell a cohesive story about each faculty members’ background and research focuses along with their featured stories and media. After creating an adaptable template, I worked along side the art director and development team to perform quality assurance evaluations and ensure perfection for every profile. This template is now live on the College of Engineering website and provides users crucial information for over 600 faculty and staff members.
